The humid environment is very unfavorable to the photos. There will be mildew marks or yellowing after being affected by moisture. Therefore, when collecting photos at ordinary times, it is necessary to take moisture-proof measures. When the photos are idle, they can be sealed with plastic bags or self sealing bags, and then put a bag of moisture-proof desiccant. It is recommended to use calcium chloride desiccant because it can absorb moisture in the air and create a relatively dry environment. Under certain conditions, it can effectively absorb moisture for 3 months, with a moisture absorption rate of 300%, which can protect the photos well.
The photo should also be protected from direct sunlight on weekdays. Long time exposure will make the photo yellow and accelerate the aging of the paper under high temperature conditions. In addition, the photos should also be taken with insect prevention measures and kept clean, because the ash layer will not only pollute the photos, but also easily cause moths and mildew.
